This Palace/Tower is a typical example of popular architecture with artistic pretensions. We can observe elements of different architectural styles that help to date it back to the XVI century, a period of transition between Medieval architecture and various Renaissance styles.

Some experts think that it is the best Asturian architectural example of that century. The interest of this construction of cubic structure is in the diversity of the different windows/doors that are arranged in the different facades, particularly on the main facade: semi-circular door with access by stone staircase. On your left a small square window divided by a small column and decorated with rope style ornaments and circles, and above, in the center of the upper floor, a square window with molding, coat of arms and framed by decorative border, and two small round windows on both sides.

Also on the upper floor of this façade are two firewalls decorated with balls in the eaves and small heads at the base. The tower was built with plastered masonry. One of the main characteristics is the main door of the tower, shaped in a semicircular arch, and two bifora windows on the second floor -in their south and west facades- which light is symmetrically divided.

The historical and artistical importance of this tower led the then Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth to name it of cultural interest, with the category of monument in 1993.
