Wonderful traditional stone house built in the 18th century with 600m2 of land. The house has 307m divided as follows:
On the left hand side there is a building which has a ground floor comprising a lounge with wood burner, a READING ROOM and a KITCHEN. On the first floor there is a landing which leads to 4 BEDROOMS with ENSUITE BATHROOMS. 2 of the bedrooms have direct access to balconies overlooking the garden. Continuing up the staircase to the second floor there is a separate living space which comprises an open plan LIVING ROOM/DINING ROOM, separate KITCHEN, utility area, 3 BEDROOMS with built in wardrobes, 2 BATHROOMS (1 of them in the main bedroom) and a UTILITY ROOM. It also has an attic area. The heating is diesel oil.
On the right hand side of the property there is the older part of the house which was lived in when the left hand part was a stable. This was subsequently renovated into tourist accommodation. In this part of the house there is an entrance hall and wide Chestnut staircase which leads to the upper floors.
On the ground floor the hall leads to a room currently being used as a bedroom but could be used for anything. Next to this there is the large LIVING ROOM with wood burner. There is a large KITCHEN through which you reach a BATHROOM with shower. Next to the bathroom we find the UTILITY ROOM. The kitchen also gives access to the bread oven dating back to the 18th century. This was used for baking the bread for the masters and servants. Next to the bread oven is the Aga style cooker which was stoked from below and the wooden poles from which they hung all the products from the pig slaughter. This space leads directly onto the enclosed patio at the back.
On the first floor we find a grand staircase which first step is stone, as was customary in the Asturian mansions of the 18th century. From here on the floor is all the original Chestnut except for the hall and large lounge on this floor that consist of good quality Pine. Here there is a BATHROOM, a built in wardrobe and an exit to the main “CORREDOR” (traditional covered balcony). To the left of the hall there is a short corridor leading to 2 BATHROOMS and a BEDROOM. Opposite there is a large LIVING ROOM leading out to a BALCONY and 3 doors. 2 of these lead to large BEDROOMS. The third leads to SITTING ROOM with a balcony which at the same time leads to a BEROOM with 2 beds and a large double BEDROOM with a balcony overlooking the garden and access to the “corredor”
The second floor is accessed by the staircase leading from the landing on the floor below. Here there is the LOFT SPACE with a large room that has 3 areas where the servants of the time slept. There are still bunk beds that attest to this.
