House in the rural area of the Asturian Cuenca Central, in Langreo. It is located 23 km from Oviedo, 32 km from Gijón, and just a few minutes from the urban area, which has all the services, train station, buses and access to the highway. The Hospital Valle del Nalón, a NHS primary healthcare centre, is only 6 km away.

With a contemporary architectural style, this house, set on a plot of land of 2,400m2 and covered with autoclaved wood sheets is a project by well-known architect Jovino Martínez Sierra (2008). The main construction of 105m2 (1,130 ft2) has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large open space for the living room -with vertical windows and a wonderful window more than 3 m wide- and a kitchen with good natural light and views. The ceiling is high (3 m to 5 m) and the bedrooms have overhead storage space.

The terrace of 30m2 (323 ft2) is used as an outdoor dining room and has beautiful views of the Nalón valley, Laviana mountains and the urban area.

It has a large storage room of 60m2 (645 ft2) where the boiler is located, with a separate entrance at the bottom of the house, and a roofed parking.

It is a bioclimatic construction, with a 15 kW fireplace and underfloor heating via a 24 kW pellet boiler. Energy efficiency class D. 

On the land, there is another building: an old bread maker space of 48m2 (485 ft2) converted into a workshop with two rooms, a wood stove, an outdoor woodshed, and a terrace area of 60m2 (645 ft2). Good maintenance has been carried out on both the main house and this secondary house; among other things, the wood has been recently varnished and the exterior and interior of the workshop painted.

The area has a multitude of beautiful nature outdoor routes and trails, tourist activities and museums, such as the Asturias Mining Museum, the Samuño Valley Mining Ecomuseum, the Eduardo Úrculo Pinacoteca, the MUMI or, just 10 km away, the Pozo Sotón Museum, which offers the possibility of visiting the interior of a real mine.
